Doggies and diwali the evening unfolds

As the day went by, I sat in my house doing things incoherently, looking at the trees stand still and the clouds move by. An occasional boom sound would bring me back to the reality of the day as they say in sports "it's going to be a cracker of a night " but just in far too literal sense.

So the day went by and then came the evening, with all the things in my head I added one more for the evening a small thought for them which turner into a request in air, a small prayer...the damn right for the doggies to be at peace...nothing big, just a prayer. But it meant that I remembered what I cared for and I set off to see how they were for the evening.

It was turning dark...so the day was at the cusp of coming to an end..the light from the most mighty source " the sun" had reduced. But the evening had no shortage of other sources this time.

In those lights I moved and finally reached back the spot ...there again between the baker, the butcher and the grocer... I can almost feel them peering at me right now, why the hell does he bring us time and again into this story of his...

Well moving on and letting the people do their things...lets move to the doggies who were sitting right there...now a few more had come there, as if to comfort themselves by being in a group.

They were in trouble I could see, occasionally looking around when a loud bomb went off.

They were not so keen on getting a pat on the back right now. I let them be for sometime.

Then came out the biscuits and oh my the world turned upside down. I did not want to manipulate the situation, but if something makes them happy then why not.

They happily ate and took the pat...they were in the bubble for sometime...they enjoyed the time...which is what I wanted to see this evening...

When the biscuits were over...they just sat there...tad bit better than what they were earlier...not flinching on the loud bang....a couple of them dozed off...guess trying to put the noise out of their head....

That moment I knew that they did ... They did overcome the fear...but this can happen only with some space for them...us not being cruel in out head to purposely go and set off the crackers near them to see the fun in agony of poor doggies...us knowing what it is to be them even for a moment will make us realize and understand....

Well with that I moved back wishing the people around happy diwali...first time in the day with all my heart...oh and yes the baker, the butcher and the grocer might be one of them....

The 2 D's distant apart.... Diwali and Doggies

The day has gone by and some people are full of joy, some full of the fear, some still trying to make sense of it all.... Well I met each type of person yesterday so can tell you that it's true... I wasn't to keen on people then, so I turned my attention to those  whom I wish could say are full time with me... Ya envy a lot of you people out there... But what's there in being envious....

So I set off my day looking at this Diwali from the perspective of these cute doggies....especially those who are on streets and barely get a corner to hide if they want to.... At moments I wanted to hold and comfort them, but knew they would rather get more scared...

We all know kids can barely resist their crackers right from start of the day... We were same one day.... so the tirade had to begin from the beginning of the day....

I went to the market outside my colony... since my colony for some reason was still sleeping at 12 noon.... I reached this area which I very well knew had those cute buddies of mine cause occasionally ( know that is rarely) I would sit with them, give them a tap and scratch that they would enjoy...well right somewhere between the bakery, the grocer and the mutton shop they would lay, always hoping that they will get something from either place...

Coming back to now, to add to my utter shock I could see these small kids...who were bustling in each other with their hands full of small crackers....so full yet so naive... Were dangerously close to the doggies...

Well I did manage to tell them to be away .....but their parents would stare at me thinking who the hell is this patrolling officer in our area...well never mind atleast I did keep my mind on the right things...

So moments later they went about with their business of setting off those ear busters, well if I may call them ear busters...  What are they suppose to be for the lads around me....I was surprised though that they lay peacefully...I called them in the midst of all the noise and they happily looked up...

So I knew they have adapted to this form...

Loved the moment when they were in that bubble with me...as if so inconsiderate about surrounding...

But I knew this was just beginning and needed to know how the day went by......
